Calibrated Particles for Visual Inspection & AVI Qualification

Calibrated particles are size- and count-defined reference particle standards used to challenge and qualify manual and automated visual inspection systems. FTI provides NIST-traceable, size-calibrated particles across a range of materials and sizes, each supplied with a certificate of size and count. They let manufacturers establish detection thresholds, verify inspection methods, and run Probability of Detection (PoD) studies with known, repeatable inputs.
